About Venture Crew 57
Baden Powell Modular Railroad Club

Thanks for showing interest in the Baden Powell Modular Railroad Club associated with BSA Venture Crew 57. The club was formed in 1993 by scouts and their dads who had an interest with other like-minded people. The Venture Crew 57 is sponsored by St. Paul's United Church of Christ, in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Currently the club has boys and girls, moms and dads, from 4 different Boy Scout councils. The Venture Crew is made up of boys and girls age 14 and over, but anyone 10 or older is welcome to join us along with a parent or guardian as an associate member.

We have members who are strictly beginning model railroaders, young and old, and we have members who can answer questions about most model-railroading subjects.

The members work on and earn three Boy Scout Merit Badges, Railroading, Electricity, and Electronics. We display our HO modular layout at public and Boy Scout shows, visit other model railroad club layouts, attend family campouts, and other activities geared around trains.

Our regular meeting place is St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5739 Dunham, Downers Grove, IL. Meetings are from 7:30 to 9:00 in the evening on alternating Monday's and Tuesday's starting with the first Tuesday of each month.
